View records
Note
The Digital Reading Room supports indexed records, but the functionality must be enabled by the administrator.
There are two ways to find indexed records on the DRR, either the desktop or the web application:
- Locate a collection that has records attached, and use the filter to locate the entry, or…
- Use the Search records general function to query the entire database
In either case, you will be presented with a modal dialog like this one:

You can enter information in any of the fields displayed. Keep in mind that there are no special cards or multi-text search. Each search field will look for exact partial matches. For example, if you look for the name “antoni”, the list will return any name that contain that text. Possible matches may be “antonia”, “antonio”, “antonilio”, etc.
To open the details of each entry, click the Details button on the corresponding line. It will open an in-place section with the extracted record data. Click on the name to select the entry, and confirm the modal dialog. The application will then open the corresponding collection and image.
