System Updates

The DRR does not force or provides automatic updates. New applications on the same branch version are backward compatibles, so they can be installed on top of a previous installation.

The update screen shows the following options:

While the DRR has been design for offline use, the update feature may require Internet or LAN connectivity. The application can search for updates from the main server, or from a custom address (for example, a local server). It then will display the available options and give the user the alternative to download them and manually install them.

Usually new versions contain bug fixes and new features, however it is not mandatory to update if the current version fits the user’s needs and is working properly.
